Head Herdsperson Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Herdsperson to lead our dairy farm team in Cambridgeshire.

About Our Farm

Our farm is a family-owned progressive mixed farming business located on the Cambridgeshire border, milking 400 Holsteins through 8 A5 Lely robots.

Cow Management

The cows are housed all year round, with the heifers grazing part of the year. Our milk is supplied to a major dairy processor.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the herd management team to ensure optimal cow health and productivity.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to improve milk quality and yield.
  3. Collaborate with the farm management team to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

Applicants should have a strong background in dairy farming, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
