Job Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled NDT Technician to carry out a range of inspection techniques on components, pipework and structural assemblies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of NDT principles and be able to ensure that work areas are safe to carry out NDT activities.

Key Responsibilities

Our NDT Technician will be responsible for:

•⁠ ⁠Carrying out NDT techniques to components requiring inspection, ensuring that the most effective methods are used to establish acceptability to specification.

•⁠ ⁠Ensuring that work areas are safe to carry out NDT activities, and performing risk assessments as required.

•⁠ ⁠Evaluating results of the test in accordance with applicable specifications, and producing a clear and concise report detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection and all findings, noting any limitations/test restrictions that may be applicable.

•⁠ ⁠Ensuring that NDT equipment function tests are performed according to procedure, and any faulty equipment is detailed back to the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

•⁠ ⁠A valid PCN Ultrasonic Level 2 certification

•⁠ ⁠A valid PCN Level 2 Liquid Penetrant certification

•⁠ ⁠A valid PCN Level 2 Magnetic Particle certification

•⁠ ⁠A valid Full UK driving license

•⁠ ⁠A valid Passport

•⁠ ⁠Good communication skills

•⁠ ⁠IT literacy

•⁠ ⁠Microsoft Word & Excel proficiency

•⁠ ⁠An eye test

Desired Qualifications

Possession of a GCSE/Standard Grade pass in English, Maths and Science, as well as a flexible approach, team player and good communication skills, would be desirable.
