We are currently seeking an experienced Chef to join our team in Greenock. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our canteen and kitchen, ensuring that all food served meets the highest standards of quality.

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is £25,600 based on 35 hours per week at £12.50 per hour.

Job Description

This role involves assisting the team in planning and implementing new procedures and concepts, as well as training and supervising new staff in the safe preparation of food items. You will also be responsible for ensuring that health procedures are followed in accordance with HACCP regulations and maintaining par stock levels.

Additionally, you will participate in the formulation and compilation of new menus, ensure that all equipment is cleaned and serviced as required, and undertake relevant training as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NVQ level 2 culinary or equivalent
  • Knowledge of health and safety
  • Previous experience of working in a kitchen/within catering
  • Basic DBS Required
