We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead the financial operations of a growing technology organization based in the UK. As a Strategic Finance Director, you will oversee all financial aspects of the business, driving financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.

About the Role

As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for:

  • Financial Strategy & Planning: Implement reliable financial systems and processes to support long-term growth, lead the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic reviews, and provide regular financial analysis and insights to the senior leadership team.
  • Financial Reporting & Risk Management: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies, and conduct weekly, monthly, and annual financial reviews, making strategic recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and high-quality work, lead the finance team in achieving key KPIs, such as managing aged debtors, controlling costs, and meeting long-term financial goals.
  • Business Partnering: Work closely with the senior management team, providing financial insights to support business decisions, balance risk and opportunities, ensuring that financial objectives are aligned with the company's strategic vision.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Leader or in a similar role, ideally within the IT, Telecoms, MSP, or Security sectors.
  • A deep understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and regulations in the UK.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while delivering strong financial results.
