Transportation Specialist

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering parcels between depots and collecting from well-known customers.

The ideal candidate will have a valid UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C), as well as a valid and in-date Digital Tachograph card and DCPC qualification.

We offer a competitive salary of £12,250 (PAYE) or £13,750 (rolled-up holidays) for day shifts, and £13,250 (PAYE) or £14,850 (rolled-up holidays) for night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Trunking between depots to ensure timely and safe delivery of parcels
• Collecting parcels from customers using a tail lift and pump truck
• Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance
• Communicating effectively with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure deliveries and pickups

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C)
• Valid and in-date Digital Tachograph card and DCPC qualification
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only)
• Successful completion of assessment (theory and practical elements)
• Excellent communication skills
