Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee the efficient management of our ecommerce warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading daily warehouse operations, managing inventory, and optimizing warehouse layout and storage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Warehouse Management: Lead, plan, and manage daily warehouse operations to ensure smooth and efficient processes. Oversee inventory management, including accurate recordkeeping, cycle counting, and reconciling discrepancies.
  2. Order Fulfilment: Monitor and improve order picking, packing, and shipping processes to meet customer demands accurately and on time. Implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet company standards and manage the non-conformance process for failures.
  3. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor warehouse staff, providing training and guidance to ensure their success and development. Maintain a positive and productive work environment, fostering teamwork and accountability.
  4. Transport Management: Liaise with Couriers and Freight Forwarders for inbound and outbound shipments to ensure a seamless process. Manage the company vehicle fleet – maintenance, upkeep, utilisation.
  5. Health and Safety: Ensure the warehouse complies with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees. Implement and enforce safety protocols, including training, equipment maintenance, and emergency response procedures.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience of managing a fast moving warehouse environment (Min 2 years, preferably in a Wholesale / Distribution operation).
  2. Demonstrable track record in leadership within a warehousing and logistics role.
  3. A confident leader and decision maker, able to articulate and deliver the operational vision.
  4. Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
  5. Professional understanding of finances, supply chain, workflow, and staffing.
  6. Practical knowledge of logistical and regulatory constraints.
  7. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage all aspects of HR administration in relation to team management.
  8. Excellent stock control and warehousing knowledge familiar with planning optimal stock flow and layouts within the warehouse across goods in, put away, pick, pack and despatch within a busy, fast paced environment.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional listening skills.
  10. Fork Lift licence/experience desirable, if not, must be willing to be trained.
  11. Full manual driving licence, preferably clean, as periodic journeys will be required between warehouses.
