Children and Youth Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated individual to support our Specialist Carers in providing play and entertainment to children and young people visiting The Ark.
This role involves working closely with a Specialist Carer to lead and guide activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
Noah's Ark prioritizes the safeguarding of children's wellbeing, and this role requires an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Application and two references.
Key Responsibilities:- Support Specialist Carers in delivering play and entertainment activities
- Work collaboratively with children, young people, and their families
- Develop communication skills and sensitivity when working with children in challenging circumstances
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Friendly and outgoing with a good sense of humor
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection
- Reliability, commitment, and engagement
- Initiative and problem-solving skills
Experience working with children, young people, or families is desirable but not essential. We welcome volunteers from diverse backgrounds with various skills.
