About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Health Advisor at South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SECAMB). As a Health Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for patients calling our 111 service, providing vital support and guidance to those in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide empathetic and effective communication to patients, addressing their concerns and needs.
  • Use the NHS Pathways system to assess and respond to a wide range of situations, from minor illnesses to life-threatening emergencies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery and patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications) at Grade C or above (2018 Grade 4).
  • Previous experience working with the public and communicating effectively.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in challenging situations.

  • Competitive salary of £24,071 - £25,674 with the potential for up to £28,000 per annum.
  • Unsocial hours enhancements and a generous NHS Pension Scheme.
  • 35 days' annual leave inclusive of Bank Holidays (pro rata).

Training and Development

We provide comprehensive training in a supportive environment, including a 9-week training program with a 'must' attend policy. Our training is designed to equip you with the skills and confidence to excel in this role.
