Cardiac Sonographer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our dynamic team at Waitemata District Health Board. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a vital role in conducting and interpreting adult transthoracic cardiac ultrasound examinations (echocardiograms) across various settings.

With a postgraduate qualification acceptable for registration with the Medical Radiation Technologist Board (MRTB) as a sonographer, you will be responsible for performing and reporting echocardiograms in hospital-based clinics and rural/community outreach clinics.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for cardiac echo practice and be dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. You will also contribute to educational initiatives within the department and pursue professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and report adult transthoracic echocardiograms in hospital-based clinics and rural/community outreach clinics.
• Pursue professional development opportunities and contribute to educational initiatives within the department.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Postgraduate qualification acceptable for registration with the MRTB as a sonographer.
