Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Roofing Systems

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor - Roofing Systems to join our team at Mitchell Maguire. As a Quantity Surveyor - Roofing Systems, you will be responsible for dealing with various roofing systems, including bitumen membrane systems, single ply systems, hot melt waterproofing, cold applied liquid systems, insulation, green roofs, roof slating, roof tiling & leadwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and coordinate roofing projects, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, client reps, and suppliers.
  3. Review and update project drawings, comparing construction drawings to tender drawings and documenting any changes.
  4. Price variations and changes in line with subcontractor parameters.
  5. Keep track of monthly application figures and ensure relevant departments are aware of potential budget or financial constraints.
  6. Review labour schedules and compare to actual progress on site.

Requirements:

  1. 3 years Quantity Surveying experience within the UK roofing market sector.
  2. In-depth understanding of subcontracts and schedule of rates (SOR's).
  3. A full UK driving license.
  4. A good understanding of technical drawings.
  5. A Quantity Surveying degree (ideally).
  6. CSCS card (ideally, but not essential).
  7. High levels of organisation.
  8. Enthusiastic team player who works well individually also.
