About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Orthopaedic Team in NHS Scotland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to patients in our trauma and elective wards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an acute clinical caseload, providing expert assessment and treatment to patients with a range of orthopaedic conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical services and staff, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
  • Provide supervision and support to junior staff members, promoting their professional development and growth.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Experience of working in an acute clinical setting, with a focus on orthopaedic conditions.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, to meet the needs of our patients and services.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, with a focus on staying up-to-date with best practice and evidence-based guidelines.
