Job Summary
Southern Water is seeking a WW Process Operator to join our Wastewater Treatment Team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our wastewater treatment works and pumping stations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct compliance testing to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
- Perform maintenance tasks, including unblocking pumps, screens, and valves to ensure continuous plant operation.
- Repair alarm systems and monitor, collate, and report data to ensure compliance.
- Utilize fault-finding and problem-solving skills to respond to breakdowns.
- Ensure site hygiene in line with regulatory obligations.
Requirements
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work a 7-day week and participate in a standby rota.
- Good time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Adaptable, flexible, patient, reliable, and self-motivated.
- Valid UK Manual Driver's License.
- GCSEs grade 3 in Maths, English, and Science.
