Job Summary:

Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and visitors with a warm welcome and ensure a positive first impression.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the dental diary efficiently to minimize wait times.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to data protection regulations.
  • Handle telephone calls and emails professionally, providing excellent communication skills.
  • Assist with billing and processing payments, ensuring seamless financial transactions.
  • Organize and manage patient files efficiently, maintaining a well-structured and accessible system.
  • Liaise with dental nurses to ensure smooth patient flow and optimize clinical efficiency.
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures, providing support and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Manage stock ordering and rotation, ensuring adequate supplies and minimizing waste.
  • Perform decontamination duties to maintain hygiene standards, adhering to infection control protocols.
Requirements:
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Previous experience as a dental nurse or receptionist is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written, with excellent communication skills.
  • Basic IT skills for using dental software systems, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Strong focus on patient care and satisfaction, with a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues, ensuring a positive and respectful environment.

Qualifications:
  • Dental Nurse NEBDN or similar, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Job Types:

Salary:

From £12.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Licence/Certification:
  • Valid GDC registration (required), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Experience:
  • Preferred minimum of 1 year in Dental assisting and Dental Nursing, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Work Location:

In person, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and experiences.

Job Types:

Pay:

From £13.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Expected hours:

No less than 23.5 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate individual needs.

  • Monday to Friday, with Weekend availability, ensuring a balanced and flexible work schedule.
