Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Engineer - Powertrain Expert to join our team at Emotiv Technical Recruitment. As a key member of our powertrain development team, you will be responsible for delivering air, fuel, and exhaust development and validation testing in accordance with component and vehicle development plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define Component and System Targets with the design team to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Create and Maintain Test Procedures to ensure efficient and effective testing.
  • Develop and Own Component, System, and Vehicle Development Plans to drive project success.
  • Plan and Execute Mechanical Development/Performance Development Testing to validate product attribute targets.
  • Responsible for Supplier Validation and Integrity of Supplier Development Plans to ensure compliance with business standards.
  • Lead Problem-Solving Investigations that occur during development programs to drive resolution and improvement.
  • Collaborate with Vehicle Teams to integrate air, fuel, and exhaust systems into the powertrain.
  • Work Closely with Build Teams to ensure optimized instrumentation layout and requirements.
  • Collaborate with Virtual Validation Teams to guide analysis and correlation to test results.
  • Analyze and Interpret Physical Test Results to correlate simulation and validate design function.
  • Optimize Current Test Procedures and Data Analysis Tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop Close Working Relationships with external partners to drive collaboration and success.
  • Work Closely with Calibration Teams to ensure correct and reliable performance.
  • Support PT Systems S.E.T Team as an active member to drive project success.
Requirements
  • Extensive Experience in hands-on powertrain testing and development roles.
  • Failure Investigations and Problem-Solving skills to drive resolution and improvement.
  • Managing and Developing External Engineering Resources to drive collaboration and success.
  • Driving Optimization through analysis to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Closing Collaboration with design and simulation teams to understand data analysis and design process.
  • Working Across Functional Teams effectively to deliver viable design solutions.
  • Managed Concern Resolution to drive project success.
  • Working within an OEM Environment to drive compliance and success.
  • Prior Demonstration of testing budget and timing management.
  • Italian Language Skills to drive collaboration and success.
  • Industry Standard Dyno and Vehicle Validation Procedures to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Astute Project Control including resource planning, timing, milestones, and meeting disciplines.
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or Equivalent Qualification with a strong background in powertrain development.
  • Industry-Related Courses - HV electrification safety awareness.
