About the Role
Are you a motivated nurse or paramedic looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a Detention Healthcare Specialist to join our team, providing high-quality healthcare services in custody suites.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive healthcare services to detainees, working collaboratively with police officers and other stakeholders
- Conduct thorough assessments and provide timely interventions to ensure the health and well-being of detainees
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the development of healthcare policies and procedures
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of safety and quality improvement
Requirements
- RN, RGN, or RMN with dual registration: 2 years post-qualification experience, minimum Band 5
- Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role within a relevant field (e.g., General Practice, A&E, Emergency Medicine)
- Valid driving license and ability to drive in the UK
- Right to Work in the UK, British Passport, or ILR for at least 3 years, with no gaps out of the country exceeding 3 months
Benefits
- NMC/HCPC registration paid
- Average estimated overtime £3500 per annum
- Rolling rota available 2 years in advance
- Full-time fixed shift working pattern: 4 shifts on, 4 days off; part-time pattern: 2 day shifts on, 8 days, 2 nights, 4 days off
- Salary £40,000 per year (£20,000 for part-time); £1000 bonus when completed 12 months service (£500 for part-time)
