About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered General Nurse to join our team at Cantilupe ward, a ten-bedded acute inpatient ward for older adults with organic mental health problems. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working closely with nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in both mental and physical health care delivery, with a focus on person-centred care and promoting independence and wellbeing. You will be responsible for planning and delivering patient care, including medication administration, care planning, risk assessments, and discharge planning.

We offer a supportive and needs-led induction, ongoing training, and flexible working patterns. Our managers carry clinical caseloads to ensure they lead both operationally and clinically, and we encourage a coaching culture of development across our teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, working closely with the multi-disciplinary team
  • Plan and deliver patient care, including medication administration and care planning
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop discharge plans
  • Supervise healthcare support workers and junior colleagues
