Account Engineer I

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Account Engineer I to join our team at London Gatwick Airport. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles to strict company standards and adhering to all health and safety guidelines.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct routine safety inspections, MOT preparations, and service vehicles to a higher standard than the minimum required by DVSA regulations.
  2. Respond promptly to vehicle breakdowns as requested by the Fleet/Engineering Manager or Supervisor.
  3. Complete job cards, safety inspections sheets, and drivers' defect reports accurately and efficiently.
  4. Comply with company health and safety policies and procedures.
  5. Perform other reasonable work-related tasks, including travel.
  6. Work flexible shift patterns as required.

Requirements:

  1. Desirable: PCV/HGV license.
  2. Relevant City & Guilds qualifications, such as NVQ 2 in mechanical commercial vehicles.
  3. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  5. Flexibility to work varied shift patterns.
