Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Localization Quality Specialist to join our team at Amazon. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of localized content across 12 locales.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of localization quality mechanisms, principles, and best practices. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to gather quality requirements, build and maintain style guides, and organize quality audits.

Your key responsibilities will include defining quality strategies for various content types, collaborating with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, and providing regular quality data to vendor management.

You will also create and manage language assets, including translation memory, term bases, and style guides. As a main point of contact for all ad-hoc quality initiatives and customer escalations, you will ensure that localized content meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in translation, interpreting, languages, or a related field
  • Native-level fluency in German, Dutch, French, or Italian
  • Excellent understanding of localization quality mechanisms and best practices
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data to drive improvements
