Traffic Office Administrator Role

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Office Administrator to join our team at Chorley Mail Centre. As a vital member of our fleet operations, you will play a key role in supporting a safe, efficient, and cost-effective fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Distribution Management System is up-to-date and data is correctly input daily.
  • De-brief drivers at the end of their duty and resolve any issues.
  • Issue vehicle keys and logbooks in line with Royal Mail standards.
  • Download digital tacho cards in accordance with Royal Mail policy.
  • Perform daily debriefs with drivers and pass on unresolved issues to the shift manager.
  • Ensure planned maintenance is carried out for vehicles and maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Organized, independent, and self-motivated individual.
  • Knowledge of safety and legal requirements, including drivers' hours legislation.
  • Industry experience and working knowledge of the mail and parcel operation preferred.
  • Computer literate with good numeracy and literacy skills.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.54, overtime at 1.25x the normal rate, and a contributory pension scheme. You will also have the opportunity to develop your career and enjoy various discounts and benefits.
