Babcock International Group is a leading provider of critical support services to the UK's defence, security, and aerospace industries. As a Baseband Security Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing security and networking solutions to support our customers' needs.
The Role:
As a Baseband Security Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing security and networking solutions to support our customers' needs.
- Supporting the delivery of security architectures and strategies as part of a broader enterprise and IS/IT architecture.
- Interpreting and applying appropriate standards, policies, and legislation while working with information assurance leads from the programme.
- Applying the principles of secure network, applications, gateways, and interfaces across the estate.
- Evaluating new technologies and delivering cost-benefit analysis to support business use cases.
- Producing, peer-reviewing, and maintaining high-level and low-level technical documentation and network schematics.
Essential Experience:
- Experience in implementing and supporting Cisco network and security technologies in enterprise environments.
- A valid CCNP Security or CCNP Routing & Switching Certification.
- Experience in design and implementation of Cisco ASA & Firepower (Inc. DMVPN, VPN, AMP & IPS) – SSE & ISE.
- Experience in design and implementation of Cisco Catalyst Core, Catalyst Manager - Distribution & LAN Access Switching, WAN (SDA – SD-WAN Fabric deployment experience essential).
- A strong understanding of Cisco ASR/ISR Routing.
Qualifications:
- CCNP Security or CCNP Routing & Switching Certification.
- HNC (Level 4) or equivalent in a STEM subject.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain DV security clearance for this role.
