Award-winning Community Drug and Alcohol Misuse Charity seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) to lead their specialist Substance Misuse Clinic in Croydon, South London.

Job Summary

The successful Lead Substance Misuse Nurse will provide front-line clinical care to service users, including a thorough rehabilitation process. This is an excellent opportunity for an RGN or RMN with a passion for Substance Misuse treatment to join the UK's leading provider in this field.

About the Role

We are looking for an RGN or RMN who has a strong interest in addictions and can demonstrate their experience or interest in areas such as vaccinations, ECGs, alcohol and opiate detoxification, health promotion, and rehabilitation.

The ideal candidate will possess relevant nursing experience, demonstrable interest in addictions, and a desire to gain further experience in this field. They must also be able to demonstrate how they have worked to gain transferable skills and experience in drug and alcohol recovery services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide front-line clinical care to service users
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Conduct assessments and screenings
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • RGN or RMN qualification with relevant experience
  • Demonstrable interest in addictions
  • Experience in vaccinations, ECGs, alcohol and opiate detoxification, health promotion, and rehabilitation (desirable)
  • Current and valid registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK
