Job Title: Line Chef

We are seeking a skilled Line Chef to join our team at a world-class company in Dartford, Kent. As a Line Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality breakfast and lunch dishes in accordance with the published menu plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch dishes to a high standard
  • Support the Chef Manager in developing recipes and ideas
  • Act as the responsible person in the absence of the Chef Manager, providing cover and support for junior staff members
  • Take customer orders, serve meals and snacks, and operate the till
  • Ensure the food preparation, storage, and serving areas are clean and hygienic
  • Support with the daily order of stock and replenishment of items
  • Support with the washing of tableware and cleaning of food preparation equipment, floors, and other kitchen tools and areas
  • Complete relevant paperwork and documentation and file in the appropriate locations
Requirements:
  • Experience in all aspects of cooking, baking, and menu development
  • Proven experience of working within a similar kitchen-based environment
  • Experience in the principles of Basic Food Hygiene and recognised catering regulations
  • Ability to work to own initiative without close supervision
  • Strong awareness of and full commitment to adherence to health and safety
  • Effective team working skills, positive, can-do, and flexible attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Basic computer literacy with experience in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Basic Food Hygiene Level 2 (essential)
  • NVQ L2 in Hospitality or Catering (desirable)
