Job Description: Digital Twin Configuration Expert
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Twin Configuration Expert to join our team at Autodesk. As a key member of our CAD/CAM software development team, you will be responsible for configuring and maintaining digital twin/machine simulation kits for Autodesk CAM digital twin solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain digital twin/machine simulation kits for Autodesk CAM digital twin solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers and programmers to replicate machine behavior and toolpath simulations.
- Develop, customize, and maintain CNC post-processors for Autodesk CAM solutions.
- Collaborate with CAM software developers to ensure compatibility of post-processors.
- Provide technical guidance to Autodesk's internal and external partners on CAM software and CNC machines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Programming skills in JavaScript, Python, C++, or similar languages.
- Knowledge of CNC machine operation, including 3-axis and multi-axis machining or interest in learning these skills.
- Familiarity with industry-specific best practices in CNC machining.
- Accommodate occasional domestic and international travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in digital twin/machine simulation software.
- Experience with development of software.
- Experience with complex CNC machining processes, such as TurnMill and 5-axis machining.
- 3 to 6 years of proven experience in CNC post-processing and CAM software configuration, with an understanding of G-code and M-code for multiaxis and TurnMill Machines.
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum
