Financial Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Staffline Recruitment (NI) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the UK finance function, reporting to the Head of Finance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow analysis.
  • Support business managers by providing profitability, KPI, production, and cost summary reports.
  • Complete HMRC returns, including VAT and plastic tax.
  • Agree and administer inter-company re-charges.
  • Review and authorise bank payments.
  • Maintain FAR and prepare quarterly capex reports.
  • Liaise with external auditors, prepare, and review audit schedules, and lead the audit process.
Requirements:
  • Recently qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years PQE.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage, lead, and motivate people at all levels.
  • Excellent planning and organising skills, with the ability to multi-task, plan, and prioritise work schedules.
  • Resilience and ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment.
  • Excellent IT skills, with experience of business applications.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships.
