About the Job
">- We are seeking a dedicated Young People's Development Officer to join our team in Newhaven. In this role, you will be responsible for working with young people who are homeless or have recently experienced homelessness, providing guidance and support to help them build skills, confidence, and independence.
- You will work in a psychologically informed environment, engaging creatively with clients to grow their strengths and talents, develop their skills and resources, and support tenancy sustainment.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Motivate young people to recognise and unlock their talents, enabling them to achieve their full potential.
- Build trusting relationships with clients, demonstrating high levels of resilience and empathy.
- Take an asset-based approach to empowering people, developing their skills, strengths, and talents.
- Support clients to sustain their accommodation and manage their license agreement.
Requirements
- A passion for making a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse groups.
- An understanding of the issues surrounding homelessness and a commitment to supporting individuals towards recovery.
- A willingness to participate in a shift rolling rota system over 7 days.
