About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant at Baston House School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our pupils with Autism (ASC).
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to pupils with Autism (ASC)
- Assist with the planning and preparation of lessons, including adapting materials to meet individual needs
- Provide one-to-one support to pupils, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development
- Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a specialist setting for pupils with Autism (ASC)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work in a variety of roles and settings
