We are seeking a highly skilled Family Safeguarding Specialist to join our team at CV-Library in Oldham, Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to work with vulnerable children and families, making a positive impact on their lives.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify their needs and risks. They will develop and implement tailored support plans to safeguard children and promote their welfare, collaborating closely with other agencies to ensure a coordinated service response.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to safeguard children and promote their well-being.
  • Collaborate with other agencies to provide a coordinated service response.
  • Represent CV-Library in court hearings and other legal proceedings as required.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to families and carers on child protection matters.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Social Work from a recognized institution.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or equivalent regulatory body.
  • Significant experience working with children and families, preferably in a family safeguarding context.
  • Proven knowledge of child protection legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of professionalism.

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of £39 per hour for a 6-month contract.
