Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Senior CAMHS Nurse to join our team at NHS. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with adolescents up to 18 years and their families/carers, providing intensive multi-disciplinary interventions and assertive care to support them in managing complex mental health difficulties.

The ideal candidate will have proven post-qualification experience in community CAMHS, with skills and additional training in working therapeutically with children, young people, and their families or carers. We are particularly interested in recruiting someone who has experience of working with young people at risk of psychiatric admission.

Main Duties
  1. To manage a complex caseload, working as a care coordinator within a multi-disciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, child psychotherapists, nurses, family therapists, occupational therapists, and support staff.
  2. To co-coordinate and deliver individualized care packages/programs for clients and their families, ensuring high standards of practice in accordance with national guidelines and trust policy.
  3. To engage therapeutically with clients and their carers in various settings, assess risks, and communicate effectively with medical staff, other professionals, and families involved in the client's care.
