Service Engineer for Biomedical Equipment

Blackfield Associates are partnered with an international biotech company seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover the Dartford/London region on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with Immunoassay/Molecular Diagnostic/biomedical equipment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will attend customer sites to troubleshoot and repair reported equipment faults, complete preventative maintenance work, and provide first-level engineering support for installation and decommissioning of instruments. This role requires a minimum of 2 years' experience as a field-based service engineer in a clinical/medical/laboratory environment, along with a valid driving license.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Attending customer sites to troubleshoot and repair reported equipment faults.
- Completing all preventative maintenance work on Immunoassay analyser equipment or laboratory equipment.
- Installing upgrades necessary to maintain instrument performance, safety, and reliability.
- Providing first-level engineering support for installation and decommissioning of instruments.
- Supporting the interfacing of instruments to laboratory computer systems.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- Previous experience working with Immunoassay/Molecular Diagnostic/biomedical equipment.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a field-based service engineer in a clinical/medical/laboratory environment.
- Demonstrable technical aptitude for working with liquid handling/robotic laboratory equipment.
- A valid driving license.
- Location within one hour of Dartford.
Salary and Benefits
This is a permanent position with an estimated salary range of £45,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Blackfield Associates offers competitive benefits packages.
