Senior Structural Analysis Engineer

Role Overview:

Babcock International Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the qualification of submarine and surface ship component resistance to shock, vibration, fatigue, and pressure loading.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on some of the most exciting engineering projects in the country, utilizing your expertise in structural analysis to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform origination and checking of structural analysis calculations, finite element analysis (FEA), and reports
  • Lead the qualification of outstanding in-design and in-service solutions
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of engineering solutions
Requirements:
  • Experience in origination and checking of structural analysis hand calculations and familiarity with design codes
  • Experience in origination and checking of structural finite element modelling and analysis, and proficiency in the use of FEA software such as Ansys and/or LS-Dyna
  • Desirable experience with Teamcenter, Mathcad/Prime, and NX software
