Head of Construction Management

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Construction to join our team at Bellway Homes. As a key member of our construction department, you will be responsible for the overall management and success of our construction operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and motivate a team of construction professionals to deliver high-quality results within specified timescales and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with our Group's Health and Safety policy and attend regular divisional Health and Safety meetings.
- Maximise profit potential through robust management and monitored performance of the construction team.
- Work closely with sales and customer care departments to deliver exceptional customer care ratings.
- Ensure all construction teams work in accordance with Bellway customer care procedures on site.
- Drive and foster a positive culture within the workforce.
- Manage site development in accordance with agreed specifications and programme/number of legal completions as agreed within the division.
- Ensure best practice is followed at all times and that key constraints of time, cost, and quality are managed appropriately.
- Ensure site preliminary/overhead costs are properly controlled.
- Deliver construction/management reports for Main Board and attend monthly valuation meetings.
- Senior-level management experience in construction, preferably with a volume house builder.
- Relevant CSCS card or equivalent.
- SMSTS certificate.
- HND in Construction or Level 7 Construction NVQ desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong communication, listening, and presentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Methodical, conscientious, organised, and works to deliver high standards.
- Ability to recognise problems and deal with them in a speedy and effective manner.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to problem solve and delegate effectively.
- IT literate and able to adapt to new systems within the commercial environment.
