Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Stress Engineer to join our team at Acro Aircraft Seating. As a Stress Engineer, you will be accountable for the safe, reliable and optimised structural design of aircraft seating across multiple programmes.

You will work with the Engineering, Lead Engineers, and Certification teams to ensure that our products meet the regulatory guidelines and requirements. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the customer brief is adhered to in accordance with the programme delivery in terms of structural integrity (strength and impact resistance), stiffness, cost and weight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking fundamental engineering hand calculations, including determining load cases and stress/stiffness analysis.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in the engineering industry.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in accordance with the milestones given.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to propose innovative ideas.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical, aeronautical or related engineering degree (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2 years industrial experience using an FEA system.
  • Good personal time management and comfortable working to deadlines.
  • Highly adaptable and capable of making decisions in a fast and pressured environment.
