Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant Role

About the Role:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with varying needs, ensuring a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities based on individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Foster strong relationships with students, promoting positive behavior, self-esteem, and well-being.
  • Facilitate students' engagement with school activities, encouraging participation and inclusion.
  • Support students in achieving their future ambitions by identifying appropriate pathways and milestones, in line with our philosophy that every child matters.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a SEND or specialist setting is highly desirable.
  • Patient, empathetic, and strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt to individual student needs.
  • Passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people with SEND.
