Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant to support our 46-year-old son, who has mild learning disabilities. The ideal candidate will be an outgoing personality who can motivate him to try new activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support to source and access interest and hobbies
- Support in accessing the community for fun activities, including attending any groups that he will be interested
- Support making/meeting new friends
- Support to motivate himself when feeling low
- Support learning new domestic skills (cooking)
- Supporting the learning of new skills
Requirements
- An understanding and previous experience with people with learning disabilities
- Flexibility towards planned activities
- A Full DBS check will be required
