Job Title: Associate - Contract (Permanent)

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join our team as a Quantum Associate in a permanent contract role.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supporting role, using your technical knowledge to support a leading expert witness in carrying out quantum analysis for major worldwide disputes and construction projects.

You will work closely alongside a Who's Who Legal (WWL) recognised expert witness and provide them with support in analysing data and correlating sections of reports in relation to disputes on projects that are preparing for arbitration or litigation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Arbitration, Litigation and Adjudication process
  • Analyse big data, i.e. analyse large quantities of claims documentation relating to the dispute and have the ability to quickly understand the key issues and components
  • Use Excel and similar programs to input and analyse quantum data relating to the dispute
  • Provide specialist expert advice to external clients
  • Draft sections of the expert report for the lead expert
Requirements
  • Candidates should have experience in Quantity Surveying
  • Knowledge of contracts, entitlements and final accounts is most important
  • Experience of and ability to operate Standard Forms of Contract
  • A strong motivation to move into a construction disputes role, as well as long-term ambitions to progress your career in this specialist sector
  • An understanding of claims and how a claim is put together is advantageous
