About the Role
Venesky Brown is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Classroom Support Specialist to join our team. As a Classroom Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in enabling learners to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive classroom support to learners, including notetaking, prompting, reading, and scribing.
- Assist with assessment and exam arrangement support as required.
- Monitor learner support needs and provide tailored support to meet individual requirements.
- Organize and prioritize technical and classroom support to meet service requirements.
- Liaise with teaching staff to facilitate student learning and ensure seamless delivery of educational programs.
- Enable learners to access a range of assistive technology and resources, and provide support in their use.
- Contribute to the maintenance of accurate records and reporting procedures.
- Collaborate with the Access & Educational Support Team to ensure effective delivery of services.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or other support needs.
- Experience working in an educational environment.
- HNC level qualification or educational comparability.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft packages.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Experience working with a 16+ client group.
- Experience with note-taking and transcription services.
