About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Therapies and Education Service at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will work with our multi-disciplinary teams to provide assessment, risk management, care & treatment to aid recovery and further the patient journey.

The Therapies and Education Service consists of an established and dedicated team of Allied Health Professionals, Technical Instructors, Speech & Language Therapists, Nursing Staff, Education Tutors and Chaplaincy & Spiritual Care Staff, working together to provide a comprehensive range of interventions to meet the therapeutic needs of patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a patient needs led occupational therapy programme using a range of assessments, treatment approaches and evaluation based on best available evidence, to a specific patient group.
  • Be actively involved in the clinical risk assessment and development of risk management plans for patients and adhere to these.
  • Effectively manage a nominated caseload under supervision.
  • Adhere to professional and locally agreed standards.
  • Successfully time manage and prioritise areas of responsibility.
  • Be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team providing clinical reports as necessary and actively contributing to the Care Programme Approach (CPA) process.
  • Be actively involved in clinical governance and quality assurance activities as required.
