About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Service Desk Analyst to join our team at Leicestershire County Council. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support to our staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to staff via phone, email, and in-person
  • Resolve technical issues and escalate complex problems to senior technicians
  • Collaborate with technical specialists to implement upgrades and projects
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of IT service management frameworks and best practices
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as needed

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in an IT Service Desk environment
  • Familiarity with formal IT service management frameworks and processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) or achieved proficiency in SFIA skills at level 2
