Job Description

The NHS is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist Leader to join their team. As the lead specialist in health and safety, you will provide leadership and specialist expertise at all levels of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive and high-quality health and safety services across the Trust.
  • Formulate and lead the development of a Trust-wide Health and Safety Strategy.
  • Work with senior managers to identify, assess, and mitigate health and safety risks.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and approved codes of practice for health and safety.

You will be responsible for promoting awareness and high standards for health and safety, ensuring the Trust maintains a safe environment for staff, patients, visitors, and the general public.

Requirements:

  • Educated to Masters level or equivalent experience.
  • Graduate or Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health and committed to ongoing professional development.
  • Proven success in developing and implementing strategies and policies.

Working closely with Executives, Corporate Directors, and Trust Senior Managers, you will develop, promote, and advise on requirements, processes, and practices to ensure compliance with health and safety statutory requirements.

We are offering a competitive salary of £66,754 per annum, reflecting the skills and experience required for this role.
