Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEN/SEMH Specialist

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialised and independent school that provides inclusive education for children with complex additional needs.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work with children who have SEMH and/or SEN. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the teacher in delivering lessons and providing individualised support to students with SEMH and/or SEN
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualised education plans
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to identify and address the needs of students with SEMH and/or SEN
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of high standards of support and care for students
Requirements:
  • GCSE English and Maths
  • Experience working with children who have SEMH and/or SEN
  • A positive person-focused mindset with energy and a sense of fun
  • A commitment to creating and maintaining high standards of support
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work in a team
  • Empathy, patience, and understanding
