The ideal candidate will have a background working in a similar design environment, with a creative and analytical approach to problem-solving. You will be responsible for liaising with suppliers and customers to ensure sample fabrics arrive on time, and for coordinating the journey of the fabric through the business, including booking in, receipting on the ERP system, and maintaining internal swatch files.

Key tasks will include:

  • Supporting the Senior Fabric Designer with fabric collection curation
  • Liaising with suppliers and customers to ensure timely delivery of sample fabrics
  • Coordinating the journey of the fabric through the business, including booking in, receipting on the ERP system, and maintaining internal swatch files
  • Monitoring orders through production, ensuring all fabrics are labelled and passed to production departments
  • Adding new fabrics to the ERP system, with all relevant information
  • Liaising with suppliers to maintain the 'library' of fabric information on the ERP system
  • Creating purchase orders
  • Assisting with showroom set up, when required

The successful candidate will have:

  • A background working in a similar design environment, with a creative and analytical approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure on a range of projects within a fast-paced environment
  • Good attention to detail, and experience of working on different computer systems
  • Flexibility, as occasional travel and overtime may be required
