Plant Engineer Job Opportunity

Speedy Hire, a leading provider of hire equipment and services, is seeking a skilled Plant Engineer to join our team. As a Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of plant hire equipment in our region, ensuring that all work is carried out safely and in compliance with Speedy's safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test plant equipment to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment
  • Liaise with drivers and the hire desk team to prioritize repairs and maintenance
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers in the depot to achieve team goals
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Technical/engineering background is desirable
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Ability to support the business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver
