The Solutions Manager will be responsible for managing the implementation of the WinPath LIMS Solution into Trusts and other organisations within the UK and Republic of Ireland to satisfy customer and business requirements.

They will consult and assist the customer in configuring the WinPath Software to enhance the workflow of the laboratory with domain knowledge.

The Solutions Manager will be an instrumental element in the functional development of the WinPath Product, while keeping abreast of ongoing and future laboratory regulations, working practices, products, and technologies within the pathology discipline.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Understanding and complying with customer and Clinisys procedures, working practices, and directives in a timely manner.
  2. Understanding customer workflows and advising on Clinisys products and configuration to facilitate these needs.
  3. Being fully conversant with the functionality of the Pathology product of your discipline and the functionality of Pathology products.
  4. Assisting Project Managers with implementation, including time management, resource planning, and working with Trust or Customer IT representatives.
  5. Comprehending customer requirements as specified in the PID (Project Initiation Document) and the design document presented at the Sales stage.
  6. Continual customer engagement to promote system design, build, test, validation, service transition, and software changes and enhancements.
  7. Making recommendations based on customer feedback with regards to software changes and enhancements.
  8. Assisting with demonstrations/presentations/bid documents for the Sales and Marketing team.
  9. Delivering relevant courses for key users of pathology, as required.
  10. Being responsive to reasonable requests from your line manager or Project Managers.
  11. Assessment and maintenance of Quality Assurance during Projects and Early Life Support.
  12. Ensuring Quality Assurance of on-going implementations via internal support of Service where appropriate.
  13. To comply with the Clinisys codes of conduct and guidelines.
  14. Supporting Domain and Domain Product Specialists, including service support, product support, and promoting the Master Build and its workflows.
  15. Participating in a collaborative review process for core WinPath changes, including raising and assessing domain enhancements and defects for current products.

Key skills and abilities include:

  1. Deep understanding and experience of Clinisys LIMS product set and how to deploy components into both datacentre and on-premises technical infrastructures.
  2. Hands-on experience of web services, basic oracle script writing, business objects, Rhapsody, HL7, healthcare integration solutions, and broader integration technologies/techniques.
  3. Ability to create and deliver executive-level summary reports and presentations.
  4. The ability to diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex solution issues.
  5. Strong planning and organisational skills.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including communicating with technical and non-technical clients and staff at all organisational levels.
  7. Commercial awareness of project accounting and on-sales.
  8. Experience in the UK or Ireland Health sectors.
  9. Proven experience in LIMS management roles.
  10. Experience in a project management environment is desirable.
  11. Bachelor's degree.
