Job Title: Embedded Products System Architect

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Products System Architect to join our team at The Focusrite Group. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing our connected products.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position based in our High Wycombe offices with hybrid working available. As an Embedded Products System Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring that our product system architectures are well considered, secure, high performance, testable, sustainable, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in team solution definition and implementation, and update the architecture with feedback as the teams design, build, and test their work.
  • Embed yourself in teams at key points in the development cycle, to help in the hands-on implementation of key architectural components.
  • Collaborate with electronics engineers on system design constraints and with software teams on systems integration.
  • Develop and maintain software platform engineering techniques and design methodologies, including hands-on development experience in C/C++.
  • Advocate for automated testing from unit testing to hardware in the loop, and familiarize yourself with principles of Continuous Integration.
  • Communicate effectively with teams to ensure successful system architecture.
Requirements
  • Professional background in embedded software development or embedded system architecture.
  • Experience helping multidiscipline teams collaborate on systems design.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about music and audio technology.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of helping people and teams work well together.
  • Flexible and able to effectively prioritize and schedule across multiple projects.
