Cubiq Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Intelligence Lead to help our FinTech startup in London make data-driven decisions. Our company aims to give individuals greater control over their financial futures.

About the Role

The Senior Business Intelligence Lead will drive the development of our analytics strategy and provide actionable insights that inform business decisions. This is a chance to create a culture where data drives choices throughout the organisation.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to define key metrics, develop advanced analytics capabilities, and ensure stakeholders have timely access to high-quality insights. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the analytics strategy, aligning it with business objectives and priorities.
  • Create and maintain robust data models, dashboards, and reporting systems to facilitate informed decision-making across the organisation.
  • Interpret complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across product, marketing, operations, and executive teams.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data pipeline integrity and optimal data infrastructure.
  • Establish key performance metrics, providing a single source of truth for critical business insights.
  • Implement analytics best practices, ensuring data governance, quality, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for advanced analytics, such as predictive modelling or machine learning, to enhance business processes and customer experiences.
  • Mentor and potentially lead a team of analysts and data professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation in analytics.

About You

We seek a candidate with a proven track record of delivering measurable impact through analytics and experience leading analytics initiatives from inception.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years in analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, with experience in a leadership or strategic role.
  • Proficient in SQL and experienced with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift).
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI, creating impactful dashboards and reports.
  • Expertise in defining and implementing KPIs and data models to measure business performance.
  • Ability to translate business questions into analytical frameworks and actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and processes (e.g., DBT, Airflow) is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills, presenting complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders and influencing decision-making.
  • Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment, preferably within FinTech, is advantageous.
