Payroll Administrator Role Overview

Serco is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our People Services Team. The successful candidate will support the payroll team with query resolution, update payroll systems, and gather, calculate, and input data.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Running and collating reports to support ongoing data integrity, answering of enquiries, and support of audit activity.
  • Update Payroll system with payroll inputs.
  • Assist with preparation of out of cycle payments, BACS, and CHAPS submissions.
  • Preparation of copy payslips and P.
  • Support with the review of National Minimum wage compliance within the business.
  • Support with payroll project activities such as TUPE transfer in and out and preparation of Local Work instructions.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in an administration role in a fast-paced environment.
  • Payroll experience would be advantageous but not an essential for this role.
  • Competent using Microsoft Office suite and willingness to learn new IT systems.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask effectively to meet business needs.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Good people skills and team player.
