Private Client Tax Manager

Our client, a highly reputable independent tax practice, is seeking a Private Client Tax Manager / Senior Manager to join their team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a highly varied client base, from large companies and listed businesses to start-ups and SMEs, providing market-leading advisory projects that rival those of the Big 4.
About the RoleAs a Private Client Tax Manager / Senior Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and further capitalising on the continued growth of the existing department in the tax advice field. This team deals with claims pertaining to a broad range of projects for HNWIs, entrepreneurs, and private business owners, including IHT planning and use of IHT efficient structures, complex capital gains tax transactions, the use of trusts, and the UK tax implications for non-UK residents/domiciles.
Key Responsibilities- Preparing and delivering a variety of tax advisory assignments
- Managing projects utilising and managing other firm staff on behalf of clients, managing these projects from a process and client relationship perspective
- Developing a highly developed understanding of tax advice, with experience dealing with a variety of different clients
- Selling wider firm services when possible
- Being accurate and articulate when dealing with clients and managing their expectations of timelines and projected rebate returns
To succeed in this role, you will need to be CTA and/or ACA qualified and have a proven track record in the field (minimum 4-5 years), having worked in a similar capacity in an accountancy practice or in an industry company. You will need a keen eye for spotting other opportunities for your new client base and a highly developed understanding of tax advice.
