Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager Lead to join our team at Marstep Resourcing Solutions. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and securing new income opportunities.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in business development, with expertise in managing income generation and pipeline management. They will also possess strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities for innovation and new business across multiple strategic areas.

Key responsibilities will include leading the development and implementation of funding strategies, securing sufficient income to underpin delivery of our Innovation Strategy. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for establishing effective governance for all aspects of the business development lifecycle, setting up efficient systems and processes aligned to each stage.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with relevant post-qualification experience.
  • An experienced income generation professional with a proven track record of success in a high-pressured business development environment.
  • Excellent track record in securing significant income from a range of sources, exceeding financial targets.
  • Experience of developing and supporting the execution of new ideas for income generation.
  • Experience of managing and writing successful public sector tenders, proposals, and funding applications.
