JJ Search Governance Manager Role

The Candidate

A well-established Wealth Management firm is seeking a highly skilled Wealth Management Coordinator to support and advise their boards and investment committees.

The Role

The successful Governance Manager will provide expert advice and assistance in the preparation of board meeting minutes, packs, and other governance-related activities.

The Governance Manager will oversee the firm's Governance arrangements, including data protection governance, and will support the launch and delivery of governance initiatives and projects across the Wealth Management business.

The Governance Manager will lead the coordination of board committee meetings, set agendas, and oversee board pack production to facilitate effective decision-making.

The successful candidate will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and will lead the data protection governance framework.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the boards and investment committees in the preparation of meeting minutes, packs, and other governance-related activities.
  2. Oversee the firm's Governance arrangements, including data protection governance.
  3. Support the launch and delivery of governance initiatives and projects across the Wealth Management business.
  4. Lead the coordination of board committee meetings and set agendas.
  5. Oversee board pack production to facilitate effective decision-making.
  6. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Lead the data protection governance framework.

Ideally, the successful candidate will be CGI qualified or hold another equivalent qualification, with 3-5 years of relevant Governance experience within Financial Services, specifically Wealth Management and Investment Management.

Requirements

  1. CGI qualified or another equivalent qualification.
  2. 3-5 years of relevant Governance experience within Financial Services.
  3. Company Secretary/Secretariat experience.
  4. Ability to develop technical proficiency to fulfill the role.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft products.
  6. Experience in the financial services sector and good understanding of company law and FCA governance expectations.
  7. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail and excellent written skills.
