About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Performance Manager to join our Thames Valley North Operations Team in Wastewater. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of multi-skilled Thermal Hydrolysis Process (THP) Technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety: Lead the Health & Safety culture of the team, driving and creating an environment where good practices are a way of everyday life and total compliance is adhered to.
  • Process Management: Ensure the site achieves and maintains its required plant availability and reliability to meet quality targets set by our regulator.
  • Performance Management: Drive the team to achieve optimal performance in terms of work management, responsible for developing the team and introducing new skills and Health & Safety awareness.
  • Financial Management: Own and manage the budgetary and financial activities of the team, driving efficiencies into the overall operational budget.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Management: Ensure exceptional service to our customers with early personal interventions as required.
Requirements
  • An experienced people-manager with a proven track record of engaging & developing teams; ideally with site-based industrial or municipal process teams.
  • Ability to lead and achieve results in a difficult environment with a strong focus on, and good working knowledge of, health and safety.
  • Experience in managing an operational budget with a structured and proactive approach.
  • A good communicator and competent in using IT equipment/systems and able to interpret complex Excel spreadsheets.
  • Due to the nature of this role, a full valid driving licence is needed.
  • Qualifications should include an engineering HNC/HND or equivalent.
  • BOAS and/or WAMITAB qualifications will be beneficial, but training will be given to the right candidate.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary paying between £39,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience.
  • Annual Leave - 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays).
